Le Double du Lac Saint-Jean

After a fairly intense couple weeks of paddling / competition with the 'White Water Grand Prix' followed by a couple weeks of creeking, big wave surfing and general exploring around Quebec, I was completely ready for a chilled out weekend. Thankfully, our uber helpful Quebecois kayaking connection Patrick Levesque, his amazing wife and team at Kayak Saguenay had planned just that. The 'Double du Lac Saint-Jean' is a super fun 2 day event held around Lac Saint-Jean. The first day consisted of a Mass start race down a fun, continuous cl 3 section, followed by a freestyle event on a nice small wave in St-Felicien the next day. The event was very well organized and didn't have a super competitive feel, basically felt like lots of friends getting out on the water having lots of fun.
